It is the first question almost every client asks us: how long until SEO starts working? The honest answer is that it depends on your website, your competition and how much work is needed. But there is a typical pattern.
Months 1–2: Foundations
We start with an audit and keyword research, then fix technical issues such as slow pages, broken links and missing titles. You may see small movements in rankings, but this stage is mostly about building a solid base.
Months 3–6: Growth
With new and improved content in place and links starting to build, rankings for less competitive keywords usually begin to climb. This is often when enquiries from Google start to increase.
Months 6–12: Momentum
Competitive keywords take longer. Steady work over six to twelve months is usually what moves a business onto the first page for its most valuable searches.
